TALBOT, Rhoda Blanche- 92, Canso, Guysborough, Co., died Wednesday, January, 23, 2008 in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late George and Laura (Berrigan) Jarvis. Over her lifetime, Rhoda belonged to the Marina Rebecca Lodge and the Shamrock Seniors Club. She was an active member of St. Paul’s United Church, Canso and an honorary life member of St. Paul’s UCW. Rhoda leaves to mourn three children, Louis (Betty), Port Hawkesbury, Herb (Barb), Canso, Phyllis Ehler, Peasbrook; grandchildren Derrick (Annamarie), Darren (Pam), Dale (Amanda), Deanna (John), Annette; great grandchildren Josh, Caleb, Charity, Jarred, Austin; sister Doris Ethier, Sudbury, Ont; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Rhoda was predeceased by her husband Chester, sisters Elsie, Georgina, brothers Verdun, Harvey, Norman, Percy. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9pm Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1pm in St. Paul’s United Church with Rev. Heather Manual officiating. Burial in Fourth Hill Cemetery, Canso.
