Mombourquette, James Ernest - 84, L’Ardoise, Richmond Co.; died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Ernest was born in L’Ardoise, Richmond Co., a son of Alexander and Margaret (MacNeil) Mombourquette. He was a sign foreman with the Dept. of Transportation, St. Peter’s, a member of Holy Guardian Angel Parish, L’Ardoise, and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 110, L’Ardoise. Ernest was a veteran of World War 11, served overseas with the C.B. Highlanders Regiment, and Hastings & Prince Edward Regiment. He is survived by his loving wife, Victoria (Martell) Mombourquette; son, Elmer (Margaret), Sheet Harbour; sister-in-law, Theresa Mombourquette, Port Hawkesbury; granddaughter Kelly, great-granddaughter Emily. He was predeceased by brothers, Morton, Elmer and Herman. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, in Holy Guardian Angel Roman Catholic Church, L’Ardoise with Fr. Mariadoss Lourdusamy officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in Ernest memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
