Boone, Emily "Eldora" - Age 88 of Port Hawkesbury, NS formerly of Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland. Passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston, NS. Born in Mulley’s Cove, Conception Bay North, Newfoundland on August 19, 1932; she was the only daughter of the late William Frederick and Emily Jenette (Noftle) Delaney. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne (Dan) Dzokotoe, Tamley, Ghana, West Africa; Christine (Martin "Marty") Flood, with whom she resided for the past 33 years, Port Hawkesbury, NS; precious grandchildren, Jason (Penny) Parsons, Grand Barachois, NB; Ryan Flood, Port Hawkesbury, NS; adorable great-grandchildren, Sapphyre and Elijah Flood, Port Hawkesbury; many nieces and nephews; numerous friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Warrick Boone; brothers, William Delaney, Jim Delaney, Herbert Delaney, Theophilus Delaney. She was a life member of the UCW. A very special thank you to the Nurses, staff at Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston, NS and Dr.’s Collins, Pluta and DeRoche your kindness will not be forgotten. There will be no visistation. Eldora's funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Memorial United Church, Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, with Mrs. Nina Butt officiating. Burial to follow in the Interfaith Cemetery (United Church).
