In Loving Memory of L. Margaret (Rideout) Bourinot
1941-2021
We the family regret to announce the sudden passing of Margaret, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone, on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at home in Truro.
She was born in Harbour Mille, Newfoundland to Capt. Samuel James Rideout and Edith (Barnes) Rideout. She grew up in Newfoundland and moved to Arichat, Cape Breton at the age of 16. This is where she met her soul mate and loving husband of 59 years, Cline James Bourinot.
Together they raised two children living most of their married life in Arichat, moving to Port Hawkesbury and most recent to Truro. She cherished her grandsons and spoke of them daily with so much love
She was such a loving person with always a smile to greet you. She was an avid knitter and if you were lucky to score some wool socks, you were truly lucky. She has knitted over 500 newborn sets for the IWK - NICU over the years. She also loved to bake and would always have something stored away for those just in case times you needed something sweet. They spent over 20 years in Florida where she got the Bingo fever where she won her fair share over the years. She worked for years as a secretary for the schools in Richmond County. She will be missed dearly but never forgotten.
She is survived by her loving husband, Cline Bourinot; son, Darren Bourinot (Dana), Port Hawkesbury and daughter, Rhonda MacDonald (Charles), Truro; grandsons, Cole, Keegan, Hayden who she cherished and was so very proud of; brothers, Howard Rideout, Marystown; Frank Rideout (Anne), Petit De Grat; Edward Rideout (Brenda), Arichat; sisters, Meta Bruce (Bryce), Fredericton and sister-in-law, Josephine, Corner Brook.
She was predeceased by her parents, Capt. Samael Rideout and Edith (Barnes) Rideout; brothers, Earl Rideout, Sam Rideout and sister, Maxine Leblanc; sisters- in-law, Olive Rideout and Elizabeth Rideout; brothers-in-law, Marcel Leblanc and Charles Boulay.
