Bissonnette, Sadie Christine - Sydney formerly of Port Hawkesbury. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sadie Christine (Lynk) Bissonnette on September 28, 2021, the morning of her 65th birthday in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Sadie was born in Sydney, a daughter of the late Alex and Irene Lynk (Marion Bridge). Sadie through the years loved to house clean for other people, she would say if you don’t see your shadow on the floor, it’s not clean. Sadie loved to play bingo and lottery tickets and cheer on her favourite teams, Toronto Maple Leaf’s and Blue Jays. Oh, we can’t forget yard sale, her favourite holiday, Christmas. She is leaving behind her son, Dan Alex "DA" and his children, Savannah, Evan, Tyler and their mom, Jodi; her loving companion, John Peters; her step-children, Louise (Bruce) and Robbie (Charmaine); step-grandchildren, Tyson, Jordan; sisters, Margie (Chester) and Diane; brother, Philip; son-in-law, Sandy St. John and many nieces nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Sadie was predeceased by her husband, Louis Bissonnette; daughter, Mary Ann St. John; sister, Darlene Lynk. By Sadie’s request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 6 in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. As of 12:01 a.m. on October 4, 2021, by order of The Province of Nova Scotia, a proof of vaccination will be required to attend a visitation at all our funeral home locations. As well it will be required to attend funeral services and graveside services (indoor and outdoors) Please have your vaccination card ready and with you when you are arriving for a visitation and funeral service. If you are exempt from having a vaccine, you will need to show proof from either a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner. We thank you for your co-operation and understanding at this time. We know it may cause problems at times, but if we all follow the guidelines presented to us by Dr. Strang and the province, the sooner we can hopefully be past this stage of COVID. Donations in memory of Sadie may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph Cemetery Fund, Port Hawkesbury. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
