Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eager, David Roy - Passed away suddenly at home on, Saturday, December 19, 2020. David was a Cape Bretoner through and through. One of the kindest sweetest and most loving people in the world. It seemed to be that his super power was to make a person feel comfortable and never hesitate to help anyone out. Whether it was to take family or neighbors to an appointment or to mow a neighbor's lawn. He was there to lend a hand. David loved his family with all his heart. Whenever anyone asked David about Paige or his grandchildren, he would proudly tell you what they were doing whether it be their adventures on the farm, school or just what they were up to. He was the best Papa a grandkid could have and a daughter could not ask for a better father. He was a loving, caring husband who will be greatly missed by his loving wife Margie; daughter, Paige and son-in-law Adam; grandchildren, Rylee, Rowdy and Memphis and his dog, Ginger.
After making the decision to retire from the pulp and paper mill, it was apparent that this was the best decision he ever made. David was able to visit Paige, Adam and their children for extended visits. He enjoyed these visits with Paige, Adam and their family. He also loved being home on "The Hill". This was his happy place. He loved tinkering in the garage on little projects and being outdoors.
David is survived by his wife, Margie; daughter, Paige, son-in-law, Adam; granddaughter, Rylee; grandsons, Rowdy and Memphis; brother, Jimmy (Diana and children, Dale (Pat), Johnathan (Rachel and family); sisters, Marlene (son Mark), Joan (Susan); sister-in-law, Carol; father-in-law, Neil; sister-in-law, Cathy (Fred, children Mike, Meghann, Karyn and their families); brother-in-law, Bob (Wendy, sons Alex, Will and their families); sister-in-law, Fran (Michael, daughters Courtney, Britt); and many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father, Lester; mother, Eleanor; brother, Wesley and mother-in-law, Lennie.
Many thanks to the 911 dispatcher, the paramedics who worked tirelessly, Arichat RCMP officers, Paige who made all those calls and Stephen Richard.
As per David’s request, there will be no wake or funeral. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
