My sympathy on the loss of your loved one,Joan. Hugs to you all. You were all lucky to have had her with you for so many years. Take care and stay well .Love Sally
Joan may you rest peacefully with Alex, Fraser and your family gone before you. You were a wealth of knowledge about your family and your Cape Breton area. You will be missed. It was a pleasure to have met you and be part of your family.
I worked with Joan for several summers at the Heights in Iona. She was a wonderful cook, patient, kind, capable and had a good sense of humour which all served her and us well during busy nights in the restaurant. We had lots of laughs and I remember her fondly. My sympathies to the family. RIP Joan.
Joan was a very special woman who showed her kind, gentle and humble characteristics to everyone she met. She was a tireless worker who always stood in the shadows of others when it was her who belonged in the glow. My condolences to her family. Charlie Mac Donald
My condolances to all of Joan's family at this time of sorrow. I did not know Joan all that well be in my youth (over 60 years ago) I recall meeting her many times as she and my parents were good friends.
Family and friends are coming together online to create a special keepsake. Every memory left on the online obituary will be automatically included in this book.
