Deb and Doreen and family. I am so very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I am glad to have had an opportunity to meet him for Thanksgiving dinner in Whycogamagh a few years ago. And i likely met him as a child when I came to the Gaelic College to perform several times. May you both find comfort in the lasting memories. Hugs to you both. Wayne Thompson, Québec.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Jim. I had a lot of respect for Jim and his work ethic, honesty and typical "Caper" straight forward attitude. He was a good man and will be fondly remembered by family and friends alike. God Bless.

I am deeply sad to hear of the passing of a childhood neighbour and friend. ‘Jimmy', Duart and myself used to call ourselves the Three Musketeers - about 60 + years ago! He was always generous with hugs and jokes when we would meet up in later years. He will be deeply missed. I am sending sympathy to all of the family at this very sad time.

To Debbie and Doreen (and your families): I just read your Dad's obituary in the Cape Breton Post, and it took me back 30 years in 30 seconds. I always enjoyed my visits to your North Sydney home; your parents treated my with such warmth and hospitality. They were the finest people, which was reflected by the way in which they raised their two incredible daughters, who I had the privilege of knowing. I know what you are going through - both parents gone - it is a feeling that things will never be the same. Although that is certainly the case, one thing that will never change is your love for them and the incredible memories you will always have in your heart. I feel blessed to have been a small part of some of those times. Take care and God bless
