To Janet's family: I am so saddened to hear of Janet's passing and troubled that I did not know sooner. Janet was such a warm, compassionate and genuine person. I truly enjoyed working with her and appreciated her knowledge of her community and the many ways in which she made my job easier. Waycobah has lost a wonderful member of its community. Dear Nathan, Larissa and family. So sorry to hear of Janet's passing. I was a good friend of Janet's and was hoping to have one last lunch with her. She was a very tough person but I know that she loved you both and the 2 kids. You guys were her world. I was glad she got to visit Mira while she was still doing well. Anyway, take care, it's hard to lose a Mom but she'll be watching over all of you. Dee

I am retired from the RCMP. Although I didn't work directly with Mary Janet I did know her when I was in Baddeck and we talked by phone on occasion. We were also on a couple of seminars together.
