Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It’s with saddened hearts we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Margaret Eva England (Hadley). May 2nd, 1927 - May 15th, 2021 - Age 94 of Mulgrave, Guysborough County passed away peacefully in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish on Saturday, May 15th, 2021. Born in Oyster Pond (Hadleyville) Guysborough County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Laura Hadley. Mom played such a big role in our lives, nurturing us as we grew up. She was the rock and the glue that held us together as a family. She enjoyed our family gatherings on Sundays, where we would all get together to chat and reminisce over tea. You never left there hungry. Everybody loved Mom’s biscuits. Mom was a beautiful soul inside and out. She put a smile on everyone's face with her sense of humour and friendliness, whether they were family, friends or strangers. She was kind, loyal, humble, and very proud of her family. She enjoyed knitting many pairs of socks for family and friends. Margaret is survived by her six children, Fred (Patsy), Gary (Barbara), Mulgrave; Eric (Kelly), Lunenburg; Janet Turple, Scotsburn; Karen (Bill) Crispo, Debra (Mike) Kelly, all of Havre Boucher; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored; sister, Barbara Delorey, Mulgrave; her many nieces and nephews, and her chosen son, John C. Murray, Port Hastings. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas; brothers, John, Willard, Calvin; sisters, Lillian, Addie. Our hearts are broken and she will be forever missed. Mom’s wishes were cremation and a graveside service that will be held at a later date at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Mulgrave. Donations in the memory of Mom may be made to St. Andrew’s Church, Mulgrave. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home.
