Flossie was like family and an absolute best friend to mom. Something I know she cherishes. I have so many memories of visiting, especially on Christmas Day, a family tradition in our house, for sure. Not as clear are the memories from our younger years, but one that I hold onto was a weekend mom and dad went out of town (probably Christmas shopping) and apparently I was teasing Flossie and took her cigarettes and hid them in her clock in the kitchen and wouldn't tell her where I hid them. Looking back on it now, probably not the best choice to mess with Mamma G but she got over it and eventually I was back in her good graces. Every trip to the medical centre meant you were going to get to have a chat with her. And she always took care of you! I wish I had made it home to see her this summer but I know she knew how much she was loved.

First of all my Sincere thoughts to all of You in getting thru this loss of Florence and All that she meant to sooo many people not just in the Canso area, but everyone that knew her. My personal thoughts about Florence are numerous in every which regard. Firstly, during my time in Canso she was Such a Great personal Influence to both of my daughters when they needed an influential Motherly tutor. She pretty much took all of us under her wing when I was new in Canso and when I took one of my girls to the Canso clinic for the first time. The rest is history and I let her take control in whatever she thought was in their both best interests, medically & socially up-bringing as young pre-teens. I will Never forget what she helped out with. On to my own personal interactions, Flossie and I shared sooo many interactions and endless gab-sessions about anything and everything and always on a Positive note during those years I was in Canso and beyond during Stanfest, etc. A Beautiful and soo much a Wonderful woman, and someone I am so endeared to have shared her company with and the all the great moments we shared together.
