My condolences on the loss of Monica to her family. I grew up at the Corner and used to visit with Brenda when she minded the Corner Restaurant there. I will always remember Monica as that pretty teenager: putting a quarter in the juke box and dancing as light as a fairy around the small room. After reading her obituary, it seems she gave that joy and energy to all aspects of her life. God Bless; she will be remembered always.

Julie and I wanted to extend our deepest sympathies to you all during this difficult time. Monica was such a lovely woman and was always so interested in what was happening in my life and with my children. She always asked about them and was so glad to see me whenever our paths crossed. During those conversations she would always fill me in on what was going on in your lives. She was so proud of all of you. So sorry to hear about Monica. While she certainly intimidated me on my first day of Grade 2, she quickly became one of my favourite teachers. She picked me to be the student who would go get her in the teacher's room when we got back from french or phys ed. I still have the bracelet she gave me on the last day of school. The only time she got really mad was the day none of us would sit still or quiet during the Rita MacNeil concert. Her laugh and wuick wit will be missed. Thinking of you all during this time.

It is with heart filled sadness that we heard of Monica's death. It brought a flood of memories of our "Corner Crew". Days spent coasting on the hills and skating or playing hockey(girls as well) on the Corner pond or Frasers' pond. The summer days at the Corner Beach; playing games,especially Hilly-Hockers. Jesse and Owen allowing us to use the garage as our own 'Dance Studio". I remember having to tape a penny to the arm of the record player in order to play the 45s. Anne and I want to extend our love and condolences to the MacLennan and Gillis families on their lose.
