My Dad, Don Gillis, is Glenda's first cousin and he and my mom kept in close touch with her over the years. My husband Gordon and I have always appreciated Glenda's love for family. She travelled all the way to Ontario for our wedding in 1985. We also travelled to see her (and her parents) including the Gillis family reunion in Port Hood. Our three children were thrilled when we visited her in a "car house" we parked in her driveway and saw the Cabot Trail along with some great food and fellowship with Glenda. As our children have grown they have also visited with Glenda to reconnect and "do life together". She opened her home and her heart and gave generously to others, volunteering with her church and so many other organizations. She was a role model and will be missed by many including our family. Love and prayers, Gordon, Susan, Christian, Alexandra and Adam Lawson

We have known Glenda for so many years. We go way back. My Father was her Father's Best Man @ their Wedding. She worked for us @ The Hillcrest Hall Country Inn shortly after we opened. We will miss her greatly in this community. She will be praying for us in Heaven.

Sincere condolences on the loss of Glenda I worked with her during her training session at CJFX Radio in Antigonish. She was a gentle, caring soul who made the best Skor bars!! I still have the recipe. Rest in peace Glenda.

Rest In Peace Glenda, I was deeply saddened when I heard of your passing. Thankfully this past year we were able to stay in touch with each other through our video calls. I knew you were in terrible pain; but only showed me your resolve to beat your disease with your positive attitude. I already miss our talks. Love you, John.

We send our condolences to her family and friends. Glenda was my cousin. Glenda suffered for many years and now is at peace. Although Uncle Dan, Aunt Jean and Stan lived in Malartic Quebec. Glenda like Stan was born in the hospital in Kirkland Lake, ON. Although we cousins lived from coast to coast we've kept in touch. A few years ago we had a Reunion in PEI. It had been many years since we had all been together and had a wonderful time.

To all Glenda's family, friends and neighbours. Deepest sympathy on the loss of Glenda. A lady who was deeply in touch with us all in our community and kept in contact with her life long friends and acquaintances. Her health and suffering challenged her freedom to enjoy life as she would have preferred in her retirement years but she had the stamina to make the best of it and reached out to us all so that we could assist her in her journey. May Glenda find peace and comfort in her heavenly home. Rest peacefully dear friend. Kate
