William Thomas "Tom" Leonard Glendale The family of Tom Leonard, age 86 of Glendale, Inverness Co., are saddened to announce his passing on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Originally of Glace Bay, Tom was the son of the late William (Bill) and Zelma (Conway) Leonard. He retired from Stora Forest Industries in January 1993 where he was a Millwright / Machinist. Tom was a talented tradesperson and avid baseball player. His vibrant stories, quick wit and handiness were well known in the community. He'll be dearly missed by neighbors, friends and family. Tom is survived by his wife, Norma (Allen); sons, Paul, Glendale; Philip (Helen), River Denys; grandson, Kyle Leonard, River Denys, and granddaughter, Christine Leonard, Troy. The youngest and last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by brothers, Lloyd and Robert, and sisters, Jean, Muriel, Margaret and Eileen. Cremation has taken place. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In Tom's memory, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
