Fr. Vince was most influential in my discernment to the Priesthood. He gave us great scriptural studies at the Seminary from a wellspring of exegetical experts. Deeply spiritual and humble in his priestly ministry will remain for me an example of unconditional service. May he now rest in peace and in God's eternal love.

He married three of our children, visited us wherever we lived, in Ontario, Michigan & Nova Scotia and we visited him at The Castle (Seminary in London), at his Parish in Lucan, Ontario and in Port Hood. Fr. Vince was our pastor at St. Patrick, Lucan. He was a man of great faith. I was the principal of St. Patrick School across the street. Fr. Visited often and facilitated many celebrations. We always had him for dinner at his birthday as my husband's was at the same time. We visited and stayed with him in Margaret and inPort Hood. We admired him as a priest and friend. A wonderful man. While we are deeply saddened to har of Fr. Vincent's death, we take peace in knowing he took the journey he has been waiting all his life to take. The journey to Eternal Life. Fr. Vincent was alway a wonderful friend and we enjoyed so many times together whenever we visited him or when he visited us in Dartmouth. We will likely always refer to our Guest Bedroom as we have for the past many years: Fr. Vincent's Room. And Jim will miss his "long-distance computer support" he always gave to Fr. Vincent. Gods breath is like a fresh wind that renews us. Frail and weak as we are, we have hope. We find healing. Father VanZutphen was that fresh air that could renew us. His faith was lived with determination and love for all. He so enjoyed his daily walk through Port Hood always with a smile. He was kind and very helpful and was so passionate about the word of God. To my aunts and uncles. I'm so sorry for the loss of Father Vincent. I have fond memories of him, especially when I was a child. It was so special he was able to officiate my wedding. Also, it was a great comfort for me and my siblings,for him to perform both of our parents funerals. He will be greatly missed.
