ASHE (Reddick), Donna “Dolly” Marie - 60, Antigonish. Donna, well known as Dolly, died Thursday, October 25, 2007, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born May, 21, 1947 in Glace Bay, Dolly was a daughter of the late James Reddick and Dorothy (Francis) Brewster. Dolly was raised in Lincolnville, by her grandmother, the late Mary Jane (Borden) Reddick, “Granny Jane”. Dolly was employed with Coady International Institute of St. Francis Xavier University for over 30 years. Dolly was also involved for many years with X Project. She was a member of Lincolnville Community Association for many years. Dolly was an active member of Tracadie United Baptist Church and served as church treasurer. Dolly is survived by her loving children, Huntley Reddick (Jackie), Dartmouth; Roxanne, Dartmouth; Buttons (Paul), Hamilton, Ont.; grandchildren, Belicia, Cohen, Riel, Malik, and Briana. Dolly is also survived by brothers, Michael, Edmonton; Franky (Marilyn), Edmonton; James (Peggy), British Columbia; William (Tammy), Mira; Samuel (Gladys), Rickey (Betty), Kevin (Blanche), Richard (Barbara), Donald (Jackie), Benjamin, all of Glace Bay; Calvin (Terry), Halifax; sisters, Ardella (Wilfred), Lincolnville; Mary (Everett), Monastery; Linda, Edmonton; Jacqueline (Leslie), Truro; Doreen (Michael), Ottawa; Shelby (Sam), Edmonton; Barbara (Norm), Sunnyville; Debbie (Yves), Ruby, Veronica (Glen), Mary and Deanie, all of Glace Bay; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Dolly was predeceased by sisters, Winnie, Sheila, Carol Ann, Lorraine; brothers, John and baby Josh. Dolly will always be loved and remembered.
Visitation will take place in Tracadie United Baptist Church today from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday, October 28 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in Tracadie United Baptist Church on Monday, October 29 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Clarence Armstrong officiating. Burial at a later date in Sunnyview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tracadie United Baptist Church, Coady International Institute or Canadian Cancer Society.
