MALCOLM, Cheryl Sandra - Grantville, Cape Breton - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Cheryl Malcolm, age 75, on Monday, March 28, 2022. Born in Sydney, NS, on May 15, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William (Al) Richmond & Phyllis (Margetti) MacLeod. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Malcolm and is survived by her son, Rod Hill of Grantville, daughter, Tanya Marryatt of Cole Harbour, Grandchildren, Bria MacDougall (Mitch) of Belmont; Ayden Marryatt of Cole Harbour & Brandon Marryatt (Amber) of Lower Sackville. She also leaves behind brothers, Ron Berwick (Donna), Tim Richmond (Lou), Ontario; Glenn Richmond (Laurie) of BC; and sister, Tracy Richmond (Mark) of Ontario; many nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends. Cheryl’s smile could light up any room she walked into. She enjoyed being social and loved to shop. But her greatest loves were her children and grandchildren and would do anything she could for them. She worked for many years in the Administration office at Strait Richmond Hospital and Dorlene’s Ladies Wear in Port Hawkesbury which helped maintain her massive wardrobe and love of clothing. She always dressed for the occasion - a real class-act and never left the house without her lipstick on. Many thanks to Doctors, Nurses & staff at St. Anne’s Community & Nursing Care Centre in Arichat, NS for taking such great care of Mom. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 4-6p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville Street, Port Hawkesbury.
